Contract Recruiter Jobs
A contract recruiter is responsible for assisting employers in recruiting for contract positions for their organizations. Specific duties of a contract recruiter position include communicating with employers, identifying their needs for contract positions, understanding the kind of person they are really looking out for, using contacts in the industry to identify prospects, contacting the prospects, providing them with available information about the openings, matching the credentials of candidates with jobs, discussing contract terms, negotiating salaries with both employer and the applicants, negotiating commissions, following up for commissions and preparing a database of prospects in various industries. A contract recruiter typically reports to a recruitment manager.
A contract recruiter should have a four-year degree in a relevant area. An MBA may be helpful. Excellent telephone manner and the ability to persuade people are essential for contract recruiter positions.
